Peace of Mind Technologies, LLC (POM) has been retained by preeminent property management firm, Jordan Cooper Associates, for the development and installation of sophisticated digital recording and card access systems at Park Avenue Place.
Located at 60 East 55th Street, the 45-story glass tower is one ofthe most talked-about condominium developments in New York City, according to Jon Ecker, president of the Manhattan-based security technology firm. The POM program includes a 16-camera digital system monitoring all the common areas in the 76-unit residential condominium portion of the building, which encompasses the sixth through 45th floors.The first five floors of the building are being occupied by a private club and restaurant.
"We are proud to be working with a management organization as thorough and professional as Jordan Cooper Associates," says Ecker. "ParkAvenue Place is one of several important projects we are working on with them and each building is equally impressive in terms of scale and design."
In addition to Park Avenue Place, other Jordan Cooper Associates' buildings in which POM is developing and installing security systems,include Rivervue, a renovation and adaptive re-use of the former Revlon plant in Tuckahoe, NY, and 333 East 14th Street. The Rivervue project, touted as Westchester's rendition of SoHo and developed by Classic Realty/ RFR, entails an extensive digital security that monitors common areas, on-site parking facilities and such amenities includingpool and tennis courts.
For 333 East 14th Street, a 210-unit, 18-story postwar cooperativebetween First and Second Avenues, POM systems will be an integral part of management's modernization program. The upgraded security will include an entry system with touch screen and a state-of-the-art DVR that allows the concierge to contact residents by house phone or mobile phone. In addition, there will be cameras in the lobby and in new elevator cabs.
"Each project for which we have been contracted by Jordan Cooper Associates requires the latest security equipment and finest systems available," adds Ecker. "Clearly their focus is on the security of theresidents."
