Sacramento FBI Office Arrests Suspected Bank Robber

Task force arrests man likely involved in numerous bank robberies

The U.S. Department of Justice's Federal Bureau of Investigation's Sacramento Field Office issued the following press release:

The Sacramento Violent Crimes Task Force, comprised of Sacramento County Sheriff's Department personnel and Federal Bureau of Investigation agents, in cooperation with the Roseville Police Department, Sacramento Police Department, and the California Highway Patrol, arrested BRUCE ALLEN WRIGHT, age 35, at 4870 Tangerine Avenue in Sacramento.

Wright was arrested at approximately 10 a.m.

Wright has been charged in a Placer County arrest warrant with robbing the Union Bank of California, located at 1850 Douglas Blvd., Roseville, CA. on January 21, 2006. WRIGHT is also suspected of robbing the Wells Fargo Bank, located at 9170 West Stockton Blvd., Elk Grove, CA. on October 15, 2005. An additional felony arrest warrant for WRIGHT has been issued by Sacramento County, charging him with robbery and failure to appear.

When members of the task force approached the residence to execute the arrest warrant, WRIGHT was observed departing from the back yard. A pursuit ensued in the surrounding area for approximately thirty minutes. WRIGHT was later apprehended and taken into custody.
