Unisys Corp. has begun work on a bridge contract worth up to $750 million over three years to provide IT managed services to the Transportation Security Administration.
The Blue Bell, Pa., company announced today it is building, securing and managing IT infrastructure for TSA and Homeland Security Department under the contract, which went into effect Jan. 1. It is a connection between services from Unisys’ previous IT managed service contract with TSA, which expires Jan. 10.
The new deal is an indefinite-delivery, indefinite-quantity contract with a base year value of $308 million and two one-year options, totaling no more than $750 million over three years.
Among the services Unisys will offer are help-desk support, maintenance, IT security, remote network management, applications hosting, engineering support and infrastructure deployment and implementation.
Unisys has about 36,000 employees and had annual revenue of $5.8 billion in fiscal 2004. The company ranks No. 22 on Washington Technology’s 2005 Top 100 list of federal prime contractors.
