Pair brings 40 years law enforcement experience to home and business alarm sales

Mar. 23--COLUMBUS -- A pair of long-time law enforcement officers are tightening up security in local homes and businesses.

Gilbert Maschmeier and Doug Molczyk have started Home Security as authorized ADT dealers.

The pair bring about 40 years of law enforcement experience to the business in an effort to secure the city they serve.

"There are a lot of homes getting broken into, and I wanted to do something to help the people out," Molczyk said.

Said Maschmeier: "There are too many families hurt, have their valuables taken and people being hurt."

Maschmeier completed ADT training in December in Denver and Molczyk will follow.

After looking into other security dealers, the two said ADT was at the top of the list.

"I checked into other security systems, but ADT had the highest track record," Maschmeier said. "They've been in the business 130 years, have five million customers, are used by the Department of Defense."

"ADT offered the best value for the customers and best security," Molczyk said. "A lot of times just having the ADT sign in the yard or stickers on the windows is enough to deter break-ins."

After walking through the home or business to help determine what the customer wants in a security system, Masch-meier and Molczyk provide a free estimate.

Various security systems are available, including those that guard against burglaries, fire, smoke detectors, carbon monoxide, motion detection, glass break, flood detection and pool detection. Everything installed is monitored by ADT.

Maschmeier and Molczyk install the control panel that is centrally located in the home or business. Professional electricians are hired for the electrical work.
