Visonic, an international supplier and manufacturer of electronic security alarm systems, has landed a deal with Sector Alarm to distribute the company's PowerMax alarm systems and associated products. The distribution deal with the alarm dealer is valued at roughly $10 million, and is for a two-year supply contract.
Visonic said the contract was part of an overall strategy to boost sales by making deals with the distributors and with top alarm dealer firms.
Sector Alarm would certainly qualify for Visonic's goal of making deals with top alarm dealers; the company has some 80,000 customers and is seeing faster growth than the industry average. Sector Alarm's chief markets include Norway, Sweden and the UK.
