ACT signs purchase order letter of agreement with Tyco Fire & Security

Ontario-based Active Control Technology (ACT) announced today that it has signed a purchase order letter of agreement with Tyco Fire & Security. The agreement will allow the company's CLiK64 "P" series transmitters and receivers to be distributed by the Kantech division of Tyco, using Kantech's ioProx banner of solutions.

ACT developed the "P" series transmitters and receivers to Tyco specs, and has since been approved by the FCC and Industry Canada (IC) for the products.

The transmitters and receivers will be used as part of the Kantech access control portfolio and offer secure code transmission using the company's EncrypKey and Incremental Packet Transmission technologies to ensure the security of the access control data. The CLiK64 "P" transmitters offer field selectable voltage, coding and data path selection; they also allow for use with the leading proximity chips and custom Wiegand formats from 26 to 64 bits for OEM integration.
