Double Security Doors Keep Attempted Robber out of NC Bank

Fidelity Bank staff was able to implement security lock-down before masked robber was able to enter branch

A Fidelity Bank in Gastonia, N.C., near Charlotte, was able to stop a robbery by using its security system.

According to a report on Charlotte.com, the bank had a double security door installed, and was activated when the robber approached with his mask on, locking him out of the bank.

The bank and local police are investigating the incident and are offering a reward through the Bank Watch program of the NC Bankers Association to help turn up leads on the robbery.
