Even as rains continue to lash the M A Chidambaram Stadium here, security has been beefed up at the venue for the third one-day international cricket match between India and South Africa tomorrow.Some 5000 police personnel would be at the stadium at all the 14 entry points, city police commissioner, R Nataraj told mediapersons today.

Nataraj, who went around the stadium for an on-the-spot inspection of the security arrangements, said items like cameras, video cameras, glass bottles and matchboxes would not be allowed into the stadium. Lighting of crackers would not be permitted.Sniffer dogs would be pressed into service, he said, adding that a special squad would be on the lookout for persons indulging in blackmarketing of tickets and selling fake tickets.
