Jan. 13, 2005
Company already sees over $1 million in orders for 2005, but backlogged with $2.3 million in unshipped orders

Youngsville, N.C.-based Law Enforcement Associates Corporation, maker of such products as a less lethal stun gun, a GPS tracking unit and an under-vehicle surveillance system, has announced that in the first 12 days of 2005, the company has seen order of over $1 million for its under-vehicle surveillance system.

According to a statement from the company, a new purchase of over $222,000 ensures that the system will be employed in Saudi Arabia. While the orders represent a substantial financial boon, the company currently holds a backlog of $2.3 million in unshipped orders

LEA president Paul Feldman used the news as a chance to reiterate the company's "real products, real sales and real revenues," further indicating that the company's business was not dependent on the stun gun product. He also indicated that the company would be making a new weapon available this March.
