Acquisition means 2,200 more accounts for former Honeywell company

On Wednesday, HSM (formerly Honeywell Security Monitoring, before being sold off as an individual enterprise) picked up the assets of Denver, Colo.'s Jackson Burglar Alarm.

The alarm company, which had about 2,200 accounts mixed between residential and commercial, had served front range towns like Denver, Fort Collins, Pueblo, Boulder, Loveland, Greeley, Longmont, Colorado Springs and Castle Rock.

"The Jackson Burglar Alarm acquisition allows us to increase our presence in the Denver area, a market we see as a strong growth opportunity for our company," said Tim Whall, HSM's president and COO, when explaining the reasons behind Wednesday's acquisition. As part of the process, the Jackson accounts will be merged under the HSM umbrella.

HSM, which was split from Honeywell, is one of that nation's largest security monitoring and installing firms, and is comprised of 50 offices and service to 80 of the nation's major metropolitan markets.

The Denver offices of HSM will be at 6000 East Evans Avenue; the offices are available by phone at (303) 584 5914. HSM is on the web at www.hsmsecurity.com.
