OTTAWA -- March Networks Corp. reported a profit of $2.8 million in its latest quarter, up from a loss of $303,000 a year ago.
The video surveillance company said Monday it earned 17 cents per diluted share for the three months ended July 31, comapred with a loss of three cents per share a year ago.
Revenue in what was the first quarter of the company's financial year was $14.9 million, up from $5.8 million a year ago.
March Networks maintained its earlier guidance of revenue for the year ended April 30, 2006, of between $62 million and $68 million. Earnings for the year are expected to be in the range of $8.5 million to $10 million.
March Networks provides Internet-based digital video surveillance systems.
