Smartvue Video IP System to Be Sold to Residential Customers by Home Director

Smartvue enables Home Director to offer its customers advanced digital wireless IP video surveillance with remote cell and PC access

The ISC East trade show opened this morning in New York, and right after the start, companies were making announcements about their products and services.

On the lead was Smartvue Corporation, which announced that the company's new Smartvue S2 wireless IP video surveillance system is going to be offered to Home Director customers nationwide.

The announcement marked information of an agreement to take IP digital surveillance to the residential market. The Smartvue S2 IP surveillance system includes both the S2 Wireless DVR and the company's S2 Wireless Camera, making the system easy to connect. The system communicates using 802.11n and adds H.264 compression. It adds the Digital Pixel System from Pixim.

The Smartvue S2 will be made available to residential customers exclusively through Home Director starting in the first quarter of next year.

Home Director, which launched its technology to home builders and alarm providers in 2001, offers residential connectivity and wiring to aid with home networks for computers, alarms, monitoring, and communications.
