Level 5 and Westec InterActive Merge in Newly Announced Acquisition

Level 5 acquires Westec, new company will be known by Westec brand

Level 5 Security has announced that they have acquired video surveillance company Westec InterActive Security. According to company statements, the new, merged company will be known as Westec InterActive.

Westec, an Irvine, Calif.-based company, serves over 100 major customers in thousands of locations throughout the United States. Level 5, which has been headquartered in Boca Raton, Fla., has been a leading CCTV surveillance monitoring and verifcation service provider in southern Florida.

Gerald Vento, CEO of the new, combined company and founder of Level 5 said, "The combination of Level 5 Security and Westec InterActive provides a strong foundation for us to continue to expand our services beyond security and facilities management to working more in partnership with our customers to provide comprehensive quality and risk assurance auditing."

Mitch Johnson has been named as president of Westec InterActive, a position in which he previously served at Level 5 Security.
