Vicon Industries Inc., a developer of digital and IP video solutions, has announced the development of an integration program between Vicon's digital and IP video management platform, ViconNet, and the Velocity Access Security System by Hirsch Electronics.
"The integration effort will create a high-level of interoperability between the ViconNet video system and the Velocity Access System," said Bret McGowan, V.P. of Marketing for Vicon.
In addition to the integration development, Vicon and Hirsch have signed an NDA and agreed to a strategic partnership that will support co-marketing and selling efforts of both systems. This partnership will help improve customer expectations between the different systems and help position Vicon and Hirsch as leaders in integrated systems.
"We are excited to achieve interoperability between the Hirsch Access Control System and the Vicon Digital Video Systems using XML," added McGowan. "This puts both companies on the leading edge of delivering open architecture solutions."
