Port of Long Beach Garners $1.4M to Improve Security

Of the recent $49 million in Homeland Security grants to port security, the Port of Long Beach, Calif., has received a $1.4 million grant to improve surveillance and perimeter security. According to news reports, California ports received 12 percent of the total funding package, to be distributed among fourteen of the state's ports.
