Former Undersecretary for border and transportation security with the DHS Asa Hutchinson is a new member of GVI Security Solutions' board of directors. The appointment of Hutchinson to the board was simultaneous with the appoint of former Salomon Brothers CEO John Gutfreund to GVI's board as well.
"I look forward to serving on GVI's Board of Directors," said Hutchinson in statement made following his appointment. "Given the heightened-threat environment that we exist in today, GVI's integrated, best-of-breed approach to homeland security solutions answers a very pressing need on the part of both the government and the private sectors."
GVI Chairman of the Board Howard Safir said the group was "honored" to have leaders of the stature of Hutchinson and Gutfreund join the company's board.
"Asa Hutchinson brings substantial homeland security and legal expertise to GVI, while John Gutfreund adds an in-depth of knowledge of the financial markets to our board," added Safir.
