Safeguard Security Acquires SYSTEMSgroup

Guard services company acquires Dallas integrator SYSTEMSgroup

Security staffing provider Safeguard Security Holdings has acquired SYSTEMSgroup, Inc. According to Safeguard Security HoldingsT, SYSTEMSgroup, which specializes in security systems integration for Fortune 100 companies and large regional museums, is a "generating annual revenues in excess of $7 million with gross margins in excess of 25 percent". The move brings the company to a converged operation of providing both staffing for physical security post and patrols, and also for physical security system design, installation and maintenance.

Brown Glenn, chief executive officer of Safeguard, stated,

"We are committed to building an integrated security company where digital systems and physical guards can be utilized in tandem," said Safeguard's CEO Brown Glenn when explaining the reasoning behind the acquisition in a statement on Monday. "We believe that demand for this 'convergence' of physical and electronic assets will be driven by customers, demanding a more cost-effective solution. In less than three years, Michael Lagow and the team at SYSTEMSgroup have been able to develop an enviable franchise. They've done it by offering sophisticated security solutions based on the individual needs of their clients. We view this combination as transforming for Safeguard."

Safeguard operates from offices in Atlanta, Houston and Dallas. Safeguard also owns S3 Server Side Solutions, a computer service and networking company.
