Vindicator Command, Control and Display Equipment to protect military assets

The U.S. Air Force has certified Honeywell's Vindicator Command, Control and Display Equipment (CCDE) to protect its assets at bases around the world, the company announced on Thursday.

According to the company, its Vindicator products are used by end users at critical infrastructure sites for processing and routing security system data to operator displays, which thereby allows operators to use a single workstation to manage security event information gathered from a variety of sensors.

Among the Vindicator products already approved for use by the USAF include the Vindicator Command & Control (VCC) platform, V-5 Intrusion Detection System (IDS), V-5 Access Control System (ACS), Security Archive Workstation (SAW), Vindicator Badge Manager 2, (VBM2), Vindicator Site Commander (VSC) and the UHS-Net family of gateways and transponders.

"Honeywell is committed to providing the U.S. Air Force with the accredited security solutions it needs to protect their critical assets," said Franco van Heijningen, general manager for Honeywell Vindicator Technologies in a statement. "By ensuring that our products are USAF approved and certified we make it easy for the USAF major commands and local bases to provision the Vindicator solutions that best fit their high security needs."

The company will be demonstrating its Vindicator offerings at ISC West next week.
