PSIA systems to be featured at ASIS 2012

Company to show a minimum of nine demonstrations

Multiple companies’ interoperable systems, all of which feature Physical Security Interoperability Alliance (PSIA) specifications, will be featured at ASIS 2012.

Over the past 15 years, IP-enabled security products have been available, but have not been able to share information on an interoperable basis. With PSIA specifications, these systems can share alert data and information among a range of devices.

A minimum of nine cases will be demonstrated at the conference, including discovery of equipment and systems, a tablet-based implementation supporting security and building automation functions, and a range of PSIM-supported functions that address access and intrusion edge devices.

The companies involved in the demonstrations include Arecont, Kastle, Cisco and Hikivision, among others.
