Company merges security and home control operations in turnkey, smartphone solution

ADS Security based in Nashville, Tenn., merged home security with its home automation offerings to parlay it into a new high-tech home control/automation operation. With security at its core, ADS Home Control can be managed anywhere from a mobile operating system such as an Android device, iPhone or Blackberry.

John Cerasuolo, president and chief operating officer of ADS, said the offering presents an “ideal home management experience” from the company, which has “always had safety and security as its primary focus.”

Tom Szell, senior vice president of Sales & Marketing, ADS, said the recently launched service has received overwhelming response from customers.

“Home automation has become affordable and reliable, which is very attractive to our customers,” Szell continued. “In addition, it aligns well with all of the other advanced services we offer such as remote video, managed access control, remote arming and identify theft protection.”

Mobile connectivity is managed with the ADS Aniware application. Homeowners stay informed with email or text alerts that notify them of events at home like family member arrivals, alarm activation or temperature change. In the case that an ADS home control alarm is activated, homeowners are alerted and a signal will be sent securely to ADS’ Central Station Alarm Association (CSAA) Five Diamond Certified monitoring center.
