Unprecedented storm causes postponement of show

In what is being called an unprecedented ‘perfect’ storm and shortly following the Governor’s declaration of a state of emergency, ISC East has been forced to postpone, perhaps the first time ever the New York-based/northeast corridor security conference and exhibition has done so.

As Hurricane Sandy continued to lurch up the middle Atlantic and toward the east coast and after an assessment of the storm and the state of emergency declaration, around 2 p.m. cst today, Ed Several, senior vice president of ISC Events, issued the following statement:

“Due to the State of Emergency declared by the Governor of the State of New York and the clear impact and potential danger presented by Hurricane Sandy, we have made a decision to Postpone ISC East. We will work with our exhibitors, attendees and the Javits Center to try to establish an appropriate future date for the Show.

We hope that you all remain safe during this unprecedented storm. If I can personally assist you in any way, please do not hesitate to contact me at [email protected]  and I will respond as conditions allow.”
