Kenneth Darby to step down after 22 years at the helm

Video surveillance solutions provider Vicon Industries announced this week that company president and CEO Kenneth M. Darby will retire by the end of this year.

According to a statement, Darby will continue to serve in his current role until a successor is named and the transition is complete.

The company’s board of directors has already formed a search committee and retained executive recruiting firm The Onstott Group to help them search for both internal and external candidates to fill the position. Darby, who has served as the company’s CEO and president for the past 22 years, will stay on with the company after December to serve as chairman of the board.

"For 35 years Ken has provided a unique and extraordinary contribution to Vicon's growth and success. His guidance during this coming transition period will be invaluable," said Bernard F. Reynolds, search committee chairman, on behalf of the board of directors.
