ISD to remain an independent company

Surveillance solutions manufacturer Digital Watchdog recently announced that it has acquired Irvine, Calif.-based Innovative Security Designs. ISD garnered a lot of industry buzz last year after its Lynx surveillance camera, which is built on the Microsoft Windows platform, took home the top prize in SIA’s New Product Showcase at ISC West.

In a statement, Digital Watchdog said that the acquisition reinforces their commitment to innovation and creating quality, easy-to-use solutions. The transaction is expected to close in the coming weeks.

"ISD's ability to captivate the attention of the industry with unique and differentiated solutions has been remarkable." says HK Lee, CEO of Digital Watchdog. "In order to preserve what makes ISD special, ISD will remain an independent company to Digital Watchdog, and will continue to work closely with their OEM customers worldwide. Our combined strengths make this a very powerful relationship."

"Digital Watchdog is the perfect complement for ISD." says Ian Johnston, CEO of Innovative Security Designs, Inc. "We are thrilled to join their exceptional team to pursue our common vision of next generation solutions for the Security Industry. It is refreshing to be able to join forces with a talented group of folks who are wholly committed to meeting customer’s expectations."
