ADS Security announced this week that it has acquired Columbia, S.C.-based American Burglar and Fire Alarms, which will add 2,700 new accounts to its existing customer base in the state. ADS will also operate a Columbia branch in the existing AB&F office.
The company said this transaction, coupled its acquisition of two Alabama security companies in March, fits into their Southeast growth strategy.
"Growing our presence and establishing a full-service ADS branch in South Carolina is exciting for ADS," said ADS President and CEO John Cerasuolo. "We have been slowly growing in Columbia and the purchase of AB&F, a security company with an excellent local presence, is a natural next step for us in this market."
"I chose ADS Security because of their impeccable reputation within the security alarm industry," said AB&F owner Elton Johnson. "This is an exciting time for both AB&F and its Columbia customers, who we have been serving for over 20 years."
Johnson and his team will be joining ADS and working out of the ADS Columbia office. AB&F customers are currently being introduced and welcomed to ADS.
