ADS Security (ADS) announced last week that it has acquired customer accounts from Alarm Specialists of Cocoa, Florida. The purchase adds approximately 1,600 accounts – 60 percent residential and 40 percent commercial – to the ADS Melbourne customer base. ADS launched operations in Florida in 2007 with the acquisition of Advanced Detection Systems.
“Our expansion plan across the Southeast continues to progress with another excellent Florida alarm company,” said ADS President and CEO John Cerasuolo. “We are proud to be teaming up with Alarm Specialists and look forward to delivering top-notch service to their customers.” Cerasuolo went on to say, “The year is young. We expect that our expansion will continue with at least two more transactions in the coming months.”
The acquisition of Alarm Specialists is the fourth purchase for Nashville-based ADS this year. These deals have earned ADS a gain of over 7,000 purchased accounts year-to-date. In 2015, ADS acquired security companies in Alabama, South Carolina, Tennessee and Georgia totaling approximately 6,500 accounts.

The purchased accounts will be serviced out of the ADS-Melbourne office located at 4356 Fortune Place in West Melbourne, Florida.
