Full list of fastest-growing security dealers and integrators unveiled at ISC West

Las Vegas - Security Dealer & Integrator (SD&I) magazine unveiled its sixth annual Fast50 on Wednesday at ISC West, and NextGen Security of Exton, Pa., was named as the North America's fastest-growing security integrator.

Editor's Note: SD&I's special April Fast50 issue is now live online at www.secdealer.com! Read about the fastest-growing security service providers, along with exclusive market research, best practices and much more.

NextGen has been in existence for just four years, but its leadership team brings more than 100 years of experience and expertise to the table. Under the leadership of company founder and CEO Frank Brewer, who accepted the award at a ceremony on the show floor, the company has leveraged its high expertise in the critical infrastructure market to rocket to the top of the list. Be sure to read the upcoming April issue of SD&I magazine to read more about NextGen, the full Fast50 market research results and profiles of the remaining top five companies.

The rest of the top five fastest-growing security integrators were also honored on stage, including:

No. 2 SafeStreets USA has undergone quite the transition in the past year. After acquiring Gaylord Security and ASC Security USA to become the largest ADT dealer in the country, the company then transitioned its leadership team as part of the process. Kevin Gaylord, the new CEO, along with Curtiss Weinstein and Mark Sessa accepted the award.

No. 3 is the only familiar face in the top 5, as Star Asset Security of Orlando, Fla., was the only repeat member. Under the leadership of company president Bobbie Hirschy, Star Asset has risen from No. 24 to No. 8 and now two consecutive years at No. 3. Ms. Hirschy, along with Roger Hirschy and other members of the company accepted the award.

No. 4 on the list is Beacon Protection of Totowa, N.J. It has only taken four years for Beacon’s leadership team to guide the company to an impressive three-year growth rate of nearly 140 percent, and is coming off its best year in gross revenue. The founders of Beacon Protection, CEO Larry Shiner, COO Adam Wilder, CFO Robert DeGennaro (CFO) and Chief Sales Officer Matthew Zucker accepted the award.

The fifth ranked company is GC&E Systems Group of Norcross, GA. Recognizing the rapidly growing role that IT plays for the typical enterprise security client, the company has positioned itself as the integrator that can unite the typically adversarial end-user departments. Dan O’Sullivan, CEO, and Jim Mann, vice president of security accepted the award.

SD&I's Fast50 ranks the top 50 fastest-growing security dealers and integrators. The program was begun 6 years ago in an effort to recognize the entire landscape of security systems contracting, from alarm dealers and installers to systems integrators — especially the many smaller companies that make up the biggest chunk of our industry. The Fast50 gives SD&I a chance to recognize companies on the cutting edge of technologies and service offerings as the standard by which we all can endeavor to achieve. Many of these companies have gone far beyond the usual way of doing things. They are on the forefront of smart technologies for the home and business; they are leaders in combining IT and security into one, cohesive service offering; and they are embracing the cloud by encouraging every customer to move to hosted and managed services.

Fast50 is based on a level playing field for all companies, no matter the size. Dealers and integrators submitted financial information for their past three operating years, and their rank in the Fast50 is based on their year-to-year percentage growth and revenue growth, with their overall ranking balancing those two considerations.
