Sept. 21, 2015
SpotterRF CK2 radar delivers all weather radar for tight spaces for price less than a thermal camera

ANAHEIM, CA—ASIS 2015—SEP 28, 2015—SpotterRF today announced its new CK2 compact surveillance radar (CSR) for commercial perimeter fence use. Building on the success of its wide area radar solutions, the new CK2 provides 100 meter, 20 degree, all-weather coverage for less than the cost of a SightLogix or FLIR thermal camera with similar coverage area. The CK2 is less than half the cost of the  SpotterRF C20. The unit installs in less than one hour and works when thermal cameras do not. The CK2 may be viewed at ASIS booth #1773.

“Customers and partners asked us to look at developing a narrow-view, but hyper reliable radar for tight spots like between buildings or looking directly down a fence line,” states SpotterRF CEO Logan Harris. “The new Spotter CK2 puts the power of radar in tight places where thermal cameras fail in adverse weather conditions and is more accurate and reliable than tripwire devices”

Less than the cost of a thermal camera, the Spotter CK2 operates at peak efficiency in rain, fog, snow, or sand storm—a claim thermal cameras cannot make. Its 1.25 lb. weight, slim 9”x7”x1.2” size and its 60-minute setup make it a breeze for security personnel to plug critical gaps in perimeter security. CK2 has all of the advantages of radar with a  20 deg. field of view.

Spotter compact radar units come in many sizes, weighs as little as 1.5 lbs. each, use less energy than a light bulb (approx. 8W each), and can communicate with standard web browsers and Google Earth. Operator training takes less than 30 minutes in the field.
