SIW Radio Episode 2: Preparing for FIPS 201 Implementation

June 13, 2006
With a looming deadline which requires government agencies to begin FIPS 201 card implementations by Oct. 31, 2006, there is a great deal of concern whether 1) the technology will be ready in time and 2) whether security chiefs at government agencies will have the funding and staff resources to implement FIPS 201 card projects on time. To discuss those challenges, SecurityInfoWatch.com editor Geoff Kohl caught up with Paul Brisgone by phone live from SecTec '06, a semi-private homeland security expo held in Washington, D.C., for invited government and agency officials. Brisgone serves as the director for ADT's Federal Systems Division, and has been working with federal agencies on their security projects for 20 years.
