JVC, Berk-Tek and NVT to host pre-conference seminar at BICSI

Seminar to focus CCTV convergence and IP video technology

WAYNE, NJ (January 5, 2008) – JVC Professional, in collaboration with Berk-Tek (a Nexans Company) and Network Video Technologies (NVT) will host a Pre-Conference seminar "Convergence to CCTV: The Path to IP" Seminar at BICSI on Monday, January 19, 2009 from 1:30 – 4:30 PM at the Rosen Shingle Creek in Orlando, FL.

JVC Security Product Manager, Adrian Parvulescu extends JVC’s leadership role by providing insight on the revolutionary conversion of the security industry from analog to IP digital. Mr. Parvulescu, a well established IP digital security industry spokesperson will discuss the features and benefits of IP network cameras as compared to analog cameras, megapixel camera technology, Power over Ethernet (PoE) technology for IP cameras and the capabilities of network video recorders.

The "Convergence to CCTV: The Path to IP" seminar is a follow-up to detailed presentations and workshops based on the popular CCTV Convergence seminars JVC, Berk-Tek, NVT, Ortronics/Legrand and S2 Access Control have sponsored throughoutthe US.

Attendees will be treated to an in-depth presentation on structured cable infrastructure optimized for analog and IP video surveillance technology as well as the detailed description of camera and recorder technologies. The presentation will be followed by a hands-on workshop where attendees will be taught how to build a video surveillance system. Attendees will also receive three Continuing Education Credits (CECs) which can be applied to RCDD, NTS, WD or ITS Installer Technician credentials.

Seminar topics include selecting cable media (UTP and fiber), connectivity equipment, media conversion, camera types and compression, bandwidth criteria and integration through best practices.
