Exceptional performance earns Richichi top spot at distribution company

(North Syracuse, NY) – October 30, 2008 – Citing exceptional performance over his 11 year tenure, WYNIT owner, Geoffrey Lewis, named Pete Richichi Chief Operating Officer in a company wide announcement earlier this week.

"Since joining WYNIT as Vice President of Sales in September of 1997, Pete’s outstanding leadership has resulted in continuous growth in a very dynamic market-place," stated Lewis. "The landscape is always changing in the electronics distribution channel,” he continued, “and throughout our many challenges, Pete has consistently worked to improve the organization, keeping WYNIT competitive."

'Improving Competitive Position' has proven to be the mantra of the North Syracuse based, national distributor of consumer electronics, digital imaging, print and presentation, and security/surveillance products, contributing greatly to the company’s continuing success.

"We’ve taken some aggressive positions with new technologies over the years," noted Richichi. "We have been able to successfully identify emerging technologies that become mainstream products. First it was digital cameras, then flash memory products, ink jet printers and GPS to name a few," he continues. "We then bring products utilizing these new technologies to thousands of customers across the country."

During his tenure, Richichi has grown WYNIT’s sales organization into a world-class operation, serving reseller customers ranging from the largest national retailers and eTailers, to small, independent specialty stores. In June 2005, he was promoted to the newly created position of executive vice president, and charged with formulating WYNIT’s strategic direction, including leadership of the company’s Sales, Marketing, and Information Technology departments.

As chief operating officer, Richichi will be responsible for the day to day operations of all corporate divisions, including providing leadership in Distribution, Finance, Information Technology, Marketing, Product Management and Sales.

Lewis summarized his announcement by stating "Pete’s commitment to WYNIT for over 11 years has been a critical element of our success and I am confident he is the right person to lead us through difficult economic times and into a prosperous future."
