ComNet hires application engineer

John Nave to head tech support and system design

Danbury, CT. October 21, 2008, Communication Networks of Danbury, Connecticut, doing business as ComNet, a leading manufacturer of fiber optic transmission and networking equipment, has hired John Nave to be the company’s Technical Support Manager. John will be responsible for the company’s pre- and post-sales technical support effort within North and South America. John will report directly to Steve Carrozzo, ComNet’s Vice President of Sales. John Nave held the role of Application Engineer at GE’s IFS unit for the past 14 years before IFS was dissolved earlier this year. John has over 20 years of experience in the security market and his name, knowledge of fiber optic transmission equipment and it’s implementation, as well as being a technical resource for thousands within the security and ITS markets is well recognized.

Nave will be responsible for assisting potential and current customers in choosing ComNet products for security, ITS and other applications. ComNet has recently established a Design Center that will allow system design services be made available to all those interested in adopting fiber optic transmission as a solution to their next application. John has established his reputation from years of providing valuable optical fiber application knowledge to those who are just starting as well as those who have been designing systems for years.

“John has a wealth of knowledge gained from his years of interaction with customers on a system design level. He was such a valuable asset to the customers at IFS, we knew having someone with his abilities would be a huge asset to a new company like ComNet. This adds a great perspective on how our line of ComNet fiber optic and Ethernet products can be beneficial to our customers,” stated George Lichtblau, ComNet Chairman and Chief Executive Officer.
