IM2700 placed on ICE product list

Port Townsend, WA - October 7, 2008: Intelli-Check – Mobilisa is proud to announce that their IM2700 TWIC (Transportation Worker Identification Credential) Handheld Reader successfully completed the Department of Homeland Security's (DHS) Initial Capability Evaluation (ICE) scenarios demonstration.

With the successful completion of the ICE, the IM2700 has been placed on the DHS's published ICE product list. The nation's ports will use this published reference list to select products for evaluation and use for the upcoming TWIC requirements mandated by Congress.

"Intellicheck Mobilisa recognized the importance of the DHS TWIC program early on, and as such began development of a mobile reader months ago. That foresight, coupled with our patented ID reading technology, and access control experience, allowed us to move forward in this process quickly and easily," said IDN's COO Steve Williams.

The IM2700 can quickly access ID card information via several methods including: 1D and 2D barcodes, magnetic stripe, smart chip, proximity or RFID, and biometrics
