Surveillance vehicles to be supplied to federal authorities

RALEIGH, NC, January 13 / MARKET WIRE/ --

Law Enforcement Associates Corporation (LEA) (OTCBB: LAWE), the largest U.S. developer and manufacturer of electronic surveillance equipment, today announced that its Surveillance Vehicle Division has received an order from a division of the federal government for two specialized surveillance vehicles. Value of the order was approximately $100,000.

Paul Feldman, president, said, "This order represents a strong start to the year for our vehicle business, which is currently pursuing a significantly larger follow-on order opportunity with the same customer. We re-entered the surveillance vehicle business a little more than a year ago as part of our overall growth strategy, and are very encouraged by the increased level of interest we are seeing from a wide spectrum of federal and local law enforcement agencies.

"Our sales team is working aggressively to maintain the momentum we carried at the end of 2008. As previously disclosed, we expect to report approximately $9 million in 2008 revenue, which would represent an increase of approximately $2.3 million, or 35%, versus 2007."
