Company to provide IP video surveillance system for Brazilian city's mass transit system

The municipality of SĂŁo Paulo has tapped US video security surveillance solutions provider GVI Security Solutions to deploy an IP video solution for the city's mass transit system, GVI said in a statement.

GVI will install South Korean firm Samsung Electronics' IP video surveillance solution in the SĂŁo Paulo transit system, which has daily ridership of more than 5mn users.

The solution features a range of IP networked products including Samsung's IP high-resolution day and night video surveillance cameras and its IP Pan Tilt Zoom high-resolution day and night dome cameras.

Installation is expected to be completed during the current quarter. The value of the contract was not disclosed.
