Dan Lajoie, Leon Parks join fire alarm manufacturer

NORTHFORD, CT, January 12, 2009 — Fire-Lite Alarms has expanded its US sales force with the hiring of two new representatives: Dan Lajoie in the east and Leon Parks to cover the northwest. Beyond its free fire alarm trainings held nationwide, Fire-Lite has expanded to support its dealers and a still growing number of installations. As a non-proprietary brand sold through security equipment distribution, this increased field representation is expected to aid distributors as well.

As sales manager for the northern mid-atlantic region, Lajoie is responsible for Fire-Lite sales and customer support throughout Maryland, Delaware, New Jersey and Pennsylvania. After 15 years of employment with ADI, Lajoie worked for Honeywell Security Group’s sales team before subsequently joining Fire-Lite. Lajoie holds a certificate of marketing management from the University of Montreal and is fluent in both English and French.

In his role as northwest regional sales manager, Parks will provide Fire-Lite dealer and distributor support across Alaska, Washington, Idaho, Montana, North and South Dakota, Oregon, Utah, Colorado, Wyoming and Nebraska. Prior to joining Fire-Lite, Parks managed the sales, installation and operations of two major fire alarm dealers, Smith Fire Systems and Mountain Alarm, for nearly 10 years. Parks served four years in the US Army and holds a Bachelor’s Degree in business administration from the University of Washington. Parks also holds a Washington State Master Electrician License and NICET Level III certification in fire protection and fire alarm systems.
