CBC, the world's largest producer of closed circuit television (CCTV) lenses and the manufacturer of CCTV cameras, celebrated the expansion of their business in the region, through the opening of their new office in Jafza (Jebel Ali Free Zone).
The inaugural celebration, that took place at Park Hyatt Dubai recently, was attended by Ibrahim Al Janahi, Senior Vice President, Sales, Jafza, Mr. Kobayashi the Consul General of Japan, and Mr. Masataro Doi, son of CBC President and heir apparent.
By developing new projects and areas within the company, Masataro Doi, has played a vital role in CBCs global expansion, particularly in the Middle East. Speaking about the expansion, he said: "The Dubai office is CBCs newest branch. Currently, we are in the CCTV sales and chemical trading business in Dubai, but we are soon going to expand to other products as well." CBC started as a trading house for chemical products in the 1925. It has broadened its spectrum and added new products to its range of offerings. The company also has manufacturing capabilities for several of its different sectors.
CBC Groups security products sector, represented mainly by CCTV lenses and cameras enjoys a predominant market share internationally with its CCTV lens sales occupying a 30% share.
CBC, one of the biggest private companies in Japan, has four manufacturing businesses, with eight overseas factories, producing CCTV security and surveillance products, Mobile & PC secondary fabrication, medicine for Pfizer, Merck, Takeda. Additionally, the Group also includes an automobile business that provides interior parts to Toyota and Honda.
In his comment on these facts, Mr. Kobayashi said: "I feel genuine challenging spirits in CBCs development strategy. The opening of this new office shows CBCs commitment to this region and also the confidence it has in Jafza as the base for its operations in the region." Confirming his confidence in the capacity of the Middle East markets, where the demand of security cameras alone is estimated to be over US$100 million, Masataro Doi said: "We see the Middle East as one of the worlds fastest growing markets for security products, therefore, it is a highly potential region for us." He added:" Security products form one of our biggest business segments. CBC has a direct presence in 23 countries across the world. We are planning to introduce our entire range of products and systems to the Middle Eastern markets to satisfy customer needs across all segments of security products." Prior to the press conference, CBC held a product seminar, where a presentation about its new product range in 2008 was given to all their distributors and key decision makers for security products in the Middle East. During the seminar, CBC introduced its latest advanced IP based Video Management System (VSoIP) as well as its Thermal Imaging System & Radar Detection System which are deployed in high security areas such as airport, oil refinery, borders and so on.
