BOCA RATON, Fla. – December 1, 2008 – Larry Mays has joined ADT Security Services as group director, transportation and logistics. He will be responsible for developing strategies to secure business among the nation's leading airlines, freight forwarders, integrators, third-party logistics providers, maritime and motor carriers, passenger rail and bus services.
Mays brings 31 years of transportation information management experience. During that time he helped to develop strategic network-based solutions.
"Larry will help increase ADT's presence in this vital vertical market," said Bob Dale, ADT's vice president, group sales. "He will work to integrate security technology with innovative information management solutions to create layered security solutions for our vital transportation infrastructure."
Mays was most recently senior vice president of the cargo line of business at IBS Software Services. Previously, he worked for 16 years at Unisys, where he started a broadband solutions group within the global infrastructure services division and was the managing director for airfreight solutions within the transportation market sector. He also worked for 13 years at Pan American World Airways before joining Unisys.
Mays holds a master's degree in business administration from the Saint Joseph's University in Philadelphia and a bachelor's degree in business management from Adelphi University in Garden City, N.Y.
