Wibu-Systems opens office at historic UK site

Move to help company extend its sales operation

With the move from its Stansted, UK, location to a more representative office in Bletchley Park, UK, WIBU-SYSTEMS, technology leader in software and digital content protection, extended its sales operation in the UK and Ireland.

Bletchley Park is the historic site of secret British code breaking activities during World War II and the birthplace of the modern computer. WIBU’s offices are located in the main building on the property, The Mansion.

The Wibu-Systems product range offers many user-friendly functions for both the software vendor and the user. These include the establishment of different sales models such as demo versions, expiration dates, floating licenses, updates or Pay-Per-Use.

With CodeMeter, Wibu-Systems have taken a giant step forward. The advantage of the CodeMeter solution is that it addresses the needs of both the vendors of software and digital content and the user – this creates a win-win situation for everyone. The heart of the system is the CM-Stick, an encryption and storage solution in the form of a small USB device.

The beauty of CodeMeter is that both the vendors and the users have the option of purchasing the hardware individually. CodeMeter gives the user many advantages including: mobile storage of thousands of licenses for different products from different vendors and purchase of software at a reduced rate on www.codemeter.com; personal security benefits like a password manager, secure login and file encryption with a virtual drive; plus optional integrated flash drive of up to 2 GB.

There are additional content provider options such as floating network licenses, precise usage measurement and expiration and activation date handling. New in the range is CodeMeter Identity, a solution for verifying online identity when companies distribute proprietary information over the Internet to a select group of employees, business partners or customers.

WIBU-SYSTEMS UK and Ireland is directed by Marcel Hartgerink, who has 18 yearsexperience in software protection in the Benelux.
