Eagle Technologies launches in U.S.

Company opens manufacturing, sales facilities

Eagle Technologies has officially launched in the USA with the opening of manufacturing and sales facilities on the East coast and in partnership on the West coast, to cover the North American market as well as parts of South America and Asia. Eagle USA will be headed up by various shareholders including Managing Director Greg Hawkins and VP of Sales Ryan Hawkins.

With demand of good quality plastic cards outstripping supply, Eagle USA will initially be focusing its efforts on manufacturing and supplying its Plus-Card range of quality plastic cards. Manufactured from PVC and Polyester/PVC Composite to ISO standards, the Plus-Card brand is dust free and has smooth edges for better quality print and is especially manufactured to enhance image quality, with strong colours and detailed, readable barcodes and text. Biodegradable and other environmentally friendly cards designed for the desktop card printer user will soon be announced.

After the first year of Plus-Card manufacturing and supply to the desktop market, the plan for Eagle USA is to move into distribution of desktop printers, accessories and consumables, offering value add services such as eShop web leasing to the reseller community only.

Chris Rayner, managing director of Eagle Technologies, and Greg Hawkins managing director of Eagle USA, the driving forces behind the launch in the USA, explain their company’s vision: "We see a great business opportunity in the States, especially for our Plus-Card range. Most plastic card manufacturers are supplying the pre-printed market, leaving the desktop market high and dry. We have set up Plus-Card manufacturing facilities in the USA to help meet this demand."

"Furthermore, we believe there is ample room to expand the desktop card printer market globally with the right distribution set up and support. We are already leading the way in this field in the UK and Europe, creating genuinely exciting business opportunities for resellers from all spectrums, including stationery and office supplies, security installers and facilities management companies. We intend to replicate this business model in the USA."

Chris & Greg continue: "With the USA being very much entrepreneurial driven, we think many of our innovative concepts, such as Complete-ID, will capture the imagination of Americans. Complete-ID is essentially a ready made, invisibly updated e-shop without any admin requirements or behind the scenes support – it’s all done for them by Eagle. It allows them to set up business with virtually no start up costs."
