Conectia Wireless sees big opportunities in government sector

Argentine communications, security and networking solutions provider Conectia Wireless sees big opportunities in the government segment for IP surveillance projects, company president Daniel Samez told BNamericas.

The executive said that security patrols and municipal government are demanding IP-based surveillance solutions.

The company has two business units: communications solutions and surveillance solutions. Samez said that the latter unit was the most important in terms of revenue contribution. He was unable to provide more details about the company's revenues.

"We deploy wireless solutions and over this infrastructure we put VoIP or video surveillance solutions," he added.

Among the company's partners are Cisco (Nasdaq: CSCO), Motorola (NYSE: MOT), Planet, ACTI, Teletronics International and Yufo.
