IP SpeedDome Ultra 8 contains same features as analog version

American Dynamics, a leading video brand of Tyco International, today introduced an IP SpeedDome camera that leverages the innovative features of the industry-leading analog American Dynamics SpeedDome Ultra 8, such as Electronic Image Stabilization (EIS), Wide Dynamic Range (WDR), Digital Slow Shutter (DSS), and True Day/Night, for vastly superior images.

"We have a long and successful history with thousands of our analog SpeedDome Ultra 8 programmable domes installed around the world. We’ve taken the best of that dome and added the power of IP to enable customers to control and access video over their networks." said Chuck Hutzler, vice president of R&D for Tyco International’s American Dynamics video solutions.

IP SpeedDome Ultra 8 is compatible with American Dynamics Intellex IP and the newly introduced VideoEdge NVR which provides a robust, scalable, and open IP-based platform.

VideoEdge NVR is the industry’s only network appliance solution that automatically installs everything you need, including an embedded Linux operating system, web server, and all of the camera, network, security, and storage applications, within a couple of minutes. New customers and existing Intellex customers alike can protect their investments, enjoy simple and flexible camera licensing, add more cameras, and experience more processing power while moving to IP at their own pace.

The new American Dynamics IP SpeedDome Ultra 8 programmable dome cameras and the new suite of VideoEdge IP solutions will be featured at ASIS 2008 in Atlanta, GA at Booth #3911.
