Honeywell Introduces New Wireless Wall Transmitter for Residential Systems

Portable device provides upsell opportunities for extra keypads to VISTA and LYNX panels
Dec. 1, 2006

SYOSSET, NY -- Honeywell has released the 5878 Six-Button Wireless Wall Transmitter—a completely portable device that provides dealers with an excellent upsell opportunity by letting them easily add a second or third keypad to any VISTA or LYNX panel. Homeowners can now arm and disarm their security systems and control lights, appliances and garage doors with the press of a button from anywhere in the home.

The quick-install device can be programmed exactly like other 5800 Series wireless products and may be mounted to a single-gang box with screws, on a wall with double-sided tape or hidden in a drawer. Sleek and super thin at only 1/4-inch thick, it blends with any décor.

The 5878 has a wireless range of up to 200 feet. It includes a two-button panic to help reduce false alarms, a long-life lithium battery and extra button inserts for quick and easy customization.
