Gaming Security Consulting Firm Makes Appointments

M. Malia and Associates continues to expand in gaming and public sector groups

July 25, 2007 - M. Malia & Associates, a top design and consulting firm known for creating security systems at casinos, is expanding and making new leadership appointments.

The firm announced today that Patricia Fischer will be serving as director of operational consulting and training, and that Robert Garcia will be director of government and public sector consulting. Additionally, Stephen Malia has been named director of design and production. The company has also expanded, taking new, larger offices for a headquarters in Egg Harbor Township, N.J., a location not far from gambling mecca Atlantic City.

Michael Malia, president of the consulting firm described the additions of Fischer and Garcia as a move that gives the consulting firm additional experience in core vertical markets, especially in terms of providing security assessments and design parameters for the public sector and government facilities.

Fischer brings aboard more than 20 years of experience in security management, notably with such leading gaming establishments as Wynn Las Vegas, Bellagio, Mirage, Goldent Nugget and Hilton Corporation.

Garcia brings a background of service for the NYPD and subsequent security executive positions with Marriott Hotels, Starwood Hotels and Meridian Health.
