New megapixel camera line includes dual-sensor camera for day/night imaging.

Fairport, N.Y. – Bosch Security Systems, Inc., a full-line manufacturer of high-quality security solutions, introduces its Megapixel cameras, delivering up to 3.1 million pixels in each image for high-resolution digital imaging and flexibility. One Megapixel camera covers the same area as multiple analog surveillance cameras, lowering installation and maintenance costs and equipment investment. These high-performance network cameras deliver data, are controlled over and get power from an Ethernet network, further simplifying installation procedures and routine maintenance.

Three models of Megapixel cameras are available: The NWC-0700 color model is equipped with a two megapixel (MP) sensor, the NWC-0800 color 3.1 MP model provides high definition imaging at extended distances, the NWC-0900 day/night dual sensor camera includes a 3.1 MP color camera for daytime imaging, and a 1.3 MP high-sensitivity monochrome camera for night or low light imaging. The live video stream produced from Megapixel cameras may be viewed and recorded with the Bosch DiBos Hybrid digital video recorder (DVR). In addition, the DiBos recorder allows Megapixel cameras to be easily integrated into mixed systems supporting both digital and analog closed circuit television (CCTV) surveillance components, allowing a gradual phased-in upgrade path for older systems.

These cameras are particularly well suited for environments filled with people and vehicles, such as airports, highways, banks, sidewalk ATMs or stadiums. The Megapixel cameras' ability to zoom in and clearly distinguish faces and license plates in crowded areas makes them invaluable to detecting dangerous activity and ensuring safety for the surrounding population. Because of the high resolution image capture, security personnel can zoom in with impressive precision when playing back the video, even if the scene was originally captured at a significant distance.

Bosch Megapixel cameras are available through Bosch manufacturer's representatives, who can be contacted by calling 866-CCTV-REP, or through security product distributors.
