A megapixel dome designed for end users with the installer in mind

San Juan Capistrano, CA, and Lancaster, PA, April 23, 2008—IQinVision, market leader in high-performance megapixel network cameras, smart IP cameras, and network video recording systems, today announced the release of its new Alliance mini-dome camera system. Alliance is the security industry’s first fully-integrated, vandal-resistant megapixel dome system available in resolutions from VGA all the way up to high-definition 2-megapixel quality.

Alliance offers many new features such as 64 simultaneous, independent video streams and H.264 compression. The IQeye Alliance also includes unsurpassed megapixel lens optics, on-board SD storage, and an innovative integrated tracking shroud that automatically aligns the camera and lens. It features a true 3-axis gimble, full Power-over-Ethernet (PoE) capability, alarm I/O connections, and dual analog video outs— one for public view monitors and another for field-of-view and focus adjustments.

“We looked at what was available on the market and then we listened to what our customers really want—we realized there was a lot of room for improvement. So, we created the IQeye Alliance dome,” said Pete DeAngelis, President and CEO of IQinVision, “Like our recently-introduced IQeye Sentinel Series, the Alliance is an elegant, compact, and vandal-resistant dome designed to greatly reduce installation time and hassles.”

DeAngelis indicated Alliance will be publicly unveiled at the upcoming IFSEC security tradeshow in Birmingham, U.K. from May 12-15, 2008. Customer shipments commence the first week of July.

IQinVision offered a sneak peak of Alliance at the ISC West trade show in Las Vegas, which concluded April 4th. “When several installers stand up and enthusiastically say ‘This was clearly designed by people who have installed dome cameras,’ you know you got it right,” DeAngelis concluded.
