Blue Vector announced Tuesday the appointment of Mike Gardner as CEO. Gardner brings extensive experience leading successful growth companies, strengthening their market strategies and developing strong business partnerships. As the demand for RFID and edge automation continues to grow, Gardner will lead Blue Vector’s expansion and further development of strong partnerships with the industry.

"We are excited to see the new directions in which Mike will take our company, leveraging his experience leading companies during strong growth phases," said Anurag Mendhekar, founder of Blue Vector Systems. "As more and more customers are emerging from the pilot stage to full deployments, especially in markets like pharmaceuticals, Blue Vector continues to expand – and this is familiar territory to Mike."

Gardner brings over 30 years' experience in management and leadership to Blue Vector, with an impressive track record of successfully bringing to market industry leading solutions for demanding enterprise customers. Gardner has experience in large and fast-growing companies, including a 15 year career at IBM where he led the single largest enterprise region in the Americas. Following IBM, Gardner was recruited to join Hewlett Packard where he led its industry and software marketing programs.

Gardner has also held positions at Advanced Computer Communication, an early stage wide area networking start-up which was later acquired by Ericsson, as well as Blue Pumpkin, a CRM software company which was acquired by Witness Systems.

"Blue Vector has grown as a leader in the industry, especially in the life sciences market, and I am eager to build on its success," said Gardner. "We will continue introducing new products, expanding customer deployments, and developing our channels. I look forward to continue building the company and making this technology an essential part of our customers’ business processes and success."
