Heat-reducing high-flow blower and high-gloss finish keep cameras cool in hot situations

Dotworkz, a worldwide leader in surveillance video monitoring equipment and design, today introduced its new D2 Tornado camera enclosure.

Creating an unparalleled 20 CFM (Cubic feet per Minute) of internal air movement, the D2 Tornado's blower system delivers needed airflow circulation to reduce the hotspot buildups that will damage security cameras and sensitive components. In addition, the D2 Tornado features a high-gloss finish applied to its outside housing that effectively reflects the sun's harmful rays, while inside it is equipped with a reflective thermal blanket that shields equipment from heat and EMI.

Industry's Most Rugged Enclosure

The Dotworkz D2 environmental housing supplies the video surveillance industry's most heavy-duty protection for PTZ dome cameras from the rigors of outdoor use, vandalism and physical damage. Water- and air-tight, its thermoplastic compound construction will not rust or corrode due to moisture, ice, salt or heat, while the .125" optical cell cast acrylic lower lens resists scratching and impact.

Form with Function

Another key to the D2's success is its roomy on-board component mounting space that easily accommodates top performing PTZ Cameras and components, such as routers, cell networks, hard drives, UPS, WiMAX and Mesh hardware, expanding the scope of what a surveillance system can achieve. Thanks to this extra space, upgrades in the field are easily completed without additional complex wiring or the purchase of specialized enclosures.

The D2 is compatible with 99% of analog and IP PTZ cameras, including models from Pelco, Axis, Sony, Toshiba and Canon.

An included Dotworkz Rapid Link allows integration into 900, 5.8, 2.4 GHz wireless networks worldwide with a range of up to 20 miles.
