Las Vegas, Nevada (April 2, 2008) – SANYO Security Systems, a division of SANYO Fisher Company, is debuting two new IP cameras at this year's ISC West show. The new cameras continue the expansion of SANYO's successful line of solutions for the converged network and support both JPEG and H.264 compression to meet a wide range of IP video surveillance applications.

"Our goal is to offer a full range of video surveillance solutions to meet the diverse needs of the professional security marketplace," said Frank Abram, Vice President and General Manager, SANYO Security Products Division. "As networked systems continue to gain traction, we will continue to pursue more efficient means of deploying imaging solutions that deliver optimum performance and efficiency.” The VCC-XZ600 Series Weatherproof Day/Night and VCC-ZM600 Series General Purpose Day/Night IP Cameras feature 1/4” high-resolution color CCDs to deliver super-high resolution of 540 TV lines with an IR cut filter for enhanced performance. Both cameras are available for IP system deployment (VCC-XZ600N and VCC-ZM600N) and for conventional analog systems (VCC-XZ600 and VCC-ZM600). Key features include Auto Focus with 30x optical and 16x digital zoom that can be combined to produce 480x zoom capability; minimum illumination of 0.8 (color) and 0.04 (B/W); built-in intelligent digital motion detection and auto zoom capability; built-in image stabilization, and privacy masking.

The VCC-XZ600N and VCC-ZM600N IP cameras also offer simultaneous dual video streaming of H.264 and JPEG; built-in UTP video transmission connectivity; Power-over-Ethernet (PoE) compatibility; plus e-mail alarm and status notification with attached images. The cameras are bundled with SANYO’s VA-SW3050LITE Viewer Software allowing live video streams to be monitored on any PC. SANYO’s VA-SW3050S / VA-SW3050C Network Recording Software is also available to enable monitoring images from multiple cameras on a split screen with full operation of up to 128 cameras over a network.

For use outdoors, the VCC-XZ600 Series Weatherproof Day/Night cameras feature an IP66 compliant enclosure to provide resistance to water and dust, as well as an integrated adjustable arm for typical ceiling or wall mount applications.

“SANYO will continue to develop new imaging devices that incorporate the latest imaging breakthroughs to reinforce our philosophy of providing solutions that deliver more possibilities without limitations,” said Mr. Abram.
