ETR-timers offer universal fail-safe time delay

Las Vegas , NV (April 2, 2008) – The most recent introduction to Dortronics' comprehensive line of electronic time delay devices was presented today at ISC West 2008. The new ETR-Timer is an expanded version of the ET Timer Delay and can be added as an option to many of the popular Dortronics push buttons and sounders.

“The ETR-Timer is a practical, cost-effective solution as access requirements become more demanding,” said Bryan Sanderford, National Sales Manager, Dortronics Systems, Inc. “The ETR-Timer meets the code requirement for a true fail-safe lock timer and provides a fixed or adjustable timing for most access control systems.”

The new Dortronics ETR-Timers are powered from a 12 to 24 volt DC supply requiring only 0.05 amps. They can be triggered from either a normally open or a normally closed momentary dry contact or by switching the trigger input to the power source ground.

The ETR-Timer meets NFPA requirements by providing a field adjustable time delay of 1-60 seconds, or can be adjusted at the factory to a fixed 30 second delay. Their unique design protects the timing circuit against spikes and surges produced by strikes and solenoids that may be operated by the timer.
