Altronix Introduces New Maxim 33 Access Power Controller

Features 16 independently trigger controlled outputs via two eight-output access power controllers


Brooklyn, NY (May 24, 2006) - As security systems continue to grow in complexity with multiple devices, there is an increasing demand for reliable low voltage power devices to simultaneously power a variety of access control hardware. Altronix remains in pace with the needs of the industry with the introduction of their new Maxim 33 Access Power Controller, the latest addition to the recently introduced Maxim Access Power Controller Product Series.

Previewed at the recent ISC West, the Maxim Series interfaces with access control panels and routes power to a variety of access control devices including magnetic locks, electric strikes, door holders, card readers, and biometrics.

The Maxim 33 features 16 independently trigger controlled wet/dry outputs via two eight-output access power controllers. Each of the two power controller outputs can be configured to simultaneously offer 12VDC and/or 24VDC at up to 12 amps of total power. All outputs incorporate built-in selectable latching or non-latching fire alarm (FACP) interfaces. Also incorporated into the design of the Maxim 33 is monitoring for AC failure, low battery and battery presence.
